Will The FBI Ever Stop Wasting Money on the Cooper Skyjacking Case?

The FBI has a rule about unsolved cases. It seems to be "waste money forever." Actually it means that it would like to solve every crime. Unfortunately it cost money to do this. In 1971 a man identifying himself as D. Cooper hijacked a jet in Seattle then bailed out with $200,000.00 into the night sky. That amount of money would be worth about fifty grand today. Yet, the FBI is still spending money chasing down a fruitless ending. If it has been a bank heist, they would have dumped the case years ago because of lack of interest. But his one has public interest and the FBI fills that it must respond.I day there is a time to close a case and that means Case Closed.

How Does the Rotation of the Earth Effect the Weather?

The earth travels about 15 miles/sec as it circumvents the sun. It spins as it moves. The axis about which it rotates, or axis of rotation, is slanted from directly overhead by 23 degrees. In our winter here in Idaho, we are closer too the sun. In the summer we are further away. So it is the degree our earth is tilted that changes the weather. However, that is not the only effect on the weather that we see related to the rotation of the earth.

But you do not need a college education to do so. I know a number of successful Internet marketers that started selling online while they were going to college. In fact that is how they paid their college expenses. While they were going through college, they made a lot of money on the Internet but it was not from what they learned in the class room. Providing stimulus to our children improves their mental capacity. Nothing happens without faith. No achievement can be obtained unless you have faith enough in yourself to achieve a goal. Children gain self-esteem by doing things. Even learning to tie his or her shoes the first time adds to self-esteem. Building a paper airplane that flies adds to self-esteem.
Yellowstone lake was formed after the formation of the Yellowstone Caldera some 600,000 years ago. The Yellowstone super volcano has erupted every 600,000 years or so. After the last eruption, lava flowed into the caldera, the collapsed volcano, and eventually the basin filled with water forming Yellowstone Lake. It is said that the present lake is not the original lake formed after the eruption and that the original lake was higher in elevation. The folks that study Yellowstone said that there was not know mineralization in the lake. That was until yesterday it was reported that there is mineralization near certain underwater vents pushing boiling water into the lake. Like in the depths of the oceans new life forms are in the environs of the vents. The only way they could get there, in my opinion, is if they formed there.
More debt is not going to save our country from depression. A quick-fix is not going to do it. It will just prolong the agony as it did with the Nixon program to stop inflation. If we are going to avoid a future single political party, we need to find cooperation and honesty in government. We are already making communistic takeovers of companies. Are we going to prove Khrushchev right except it will be our own brand of communism that will destroy us?

I just didn't think it would be our very own communism. It's sort of a reverse revolution. The government is revolting against the people.

Things have not gone well for the Bush Administration. Many of the problems were caused by Osama bin Laden who we continue to hunt down and never catch. I've said many times that he is drinking lemonade in Mecca. Now financial woes are clobbering the White House. Inflation will turn to depression in my opinion, and like the last one, it could happen with lighting speed. "Confidence" is the word says President Bush. Get ready for a dunking.

Obama and McCain are not doing much in the Senate during the election, although Obama does drop in once in a while. But they are hard-working senators and they have a Senate record that reveals their interest and goals. For that reason, the record lets us know these two fine gentlemen. We can look at the bills they have sponsored and with little effort, we can read at least the first paragraph of speeches they have made on the Senate floor. What we have here is a left-wing Democrat and a right-wing Democrat or Independent, both hated by right-wing Republicans.

Can you atop foreclosure on your home and property? According to RealtyTrac, nationwide, 303,800 homes received at least one foreclosure-related notice in August 2008, up 12% from July. One in every 416 U.S. households received a foreclosure filing last month. Congress has failed to act effectively, favoring Fannie and Freddie executives over the borrowers. These institutions are big contributors to our phony pals in Congress. States are trying to help and are more effective. Also, some people have become active in getting new state laws to prevent foreclosures.

Fortunately, not all of us suffer from such poor health all of our life. Those who do, usually learn to live with their disabilities. The rest of us may have a time in our life where our health fails us and we feel helpless and depressed. Depression leads to inactivity and as Robert Lewis Stevenson said, nothing is accomplished. Those who are handicapped may not want our sympathy but they do need our love and support.

Most Americans are sick of Bush-type management and they want the changes that Obama and McCain are promising. But Obama has problems. It is not that he is young and has less experience than McCain. McCain too has problems because of his age and his ten-pound health history and his attachments to President Bush. Picking the inexperienced and perhaps devious governor of Alaska doesn't help. But his problems are not as difficult as Obama's. Swift-boating can get him elected because Obama has the problem that too many Americans want the White House to stay the "White House."
