I recently heard from a medical professional or worked the night shift regularly. She was interested in trying Medifast but she wasn't sure if it was going to be possible with her schedule. She didn't know if the plan was flexible enough to mix up the meals or to have the dinner at a time when most people are eating breakfast. I really didn't feel that she would have a problem. To demonstrate this, I came up with a sample schedule for someone who begins their work day at 11 pm and leaves work at 7am.

I sometimes hear from folks who are interested in the Medifast diet, but who have their doubts about it. Some common comments are things like: "what if I am the exception to the rule and Medifast doesn't work for me?" Or "what if I'm one of those few people who don't lose any weight at all on the diet? What if it's a complete failure and waste of time? What if I actually gain weight?" These are actually very common concerns. I had the same type of thoughts also. No one wants to waste their time or look around and see every one else's success while they themselves aren't enjoying any success or weight loss of their own.

Can You Mix Two Medifast Meals Together? Should You?

I sometimes hear from people who are trying to tweak the medifast diet in order to make it work better for them. One of the common questions that result from this topic is whether you can combine two medifast meals at one time. There are a couple of reasons that people want to do this. First, sometimes, they have a busy life style and they want to eat one larger meal to ward off hunger or to save time. An example is someone who wants to have a large breakfast because they aren't going to eat again until lunch. Another reason that people want to combine meals is just for variety. For example, the hot chocolate and latte are wonderful mixed together. I mix these two quite a bit. But there are things that you can do to ensure that you are still with in the diet's guidelines, which I will discuss below.

Many people really like having most of their meals taken care of with medifast. Since 5 of your six daily meals are prepackaged and prepared for you, there's not a lot of cooking, shopping, or preparation that needs to be done with this diet. However, for the most part you are responsible for your lean and green meal. This is the one fresh meal that you either make yourself each day or fulfill in another way, like using a frozen or restaurant meal. Some people would rather not have to prepare this meal. I'm often asked if medifast sells ready-made or frozen lean and green meals and if so, where can they buy them.

Of all of the meals that I get asked about on Medifast, questions about dinner are the most common. Most people embrace the Medifast lean and green meal that they make themselves because this means that they can eat dinner with their families. This makes the diet a lot more convenient and easy to take because you aren't having to make two meals at night when you just want to relax. But as cool as having flexibility with your dinner can be, there's sometimes some confusion as to what you are allowed to eat for dinner on Medifast. I recently heard from someone who said "what foods can you eat for dinner on this diet? Because I'd very much like to incorporate what I'm already making for my family and use that for my lean and green, but I'm not sure if I can eat what I am feeding them." So, in the following article, I'll try to clarify what types of foods you're allowed to eat on the lean and green (if you are having that main meal for your dinner.)

They understand that they are supposed to have lean protein and three servings of vegetables, but they want to make sure that they aren't taking in too many calories. While they certainly want to enjoy their main meal and ensure that they get enough to eat, they don't want to negate all of the work that they have done throughout the day. I recently heard from someone who asked me "how many calories are you supposed to be on your lean and green meal? One big draw to this diet is that you do not have to do a lot of preparation and cooking. I recently heard from someone who said: "is it possible to make your Medifast meals ahead of time, especially your lean and green meal?
Sometimes people who contact me about the Medifast diet are a bit confused and concerned about how often they have to eat and how they are going to fit this into a busy schedule. After all, you're expected to eat six times per day on this diet (five diet meals and one larger "lean and green meal." ) Plus, you have the option of eating one additional approved snack per day, which ultimately gives you seven opportunities to eat. So, how do you fit this all in and what times are best to eat your Medifast prepackaged meals, your lean and green meal, and your snack? I'll offer some suggestions in the following article.

There's no denying that the medifast bars are one of the most popular items on the menu. And, there are many different flavors to choose from, as well as two different types. People often ask me which are my favorites which are the best tasting and which have the best texture. I definitely have an opinion on this which I will share below. But before I get started, I have to explain that the medifast bars fall into two categories - the crunch bars and the maintenance bars. The crunch bars are unlimited which means that you could theoretically eat these for all five meals, although this would likely become boring after a while. The same isn't true for the maintenance bars. Because they contain more calories and carbohydrates, you're limited to just one of these per day. And as you might suspect, these are the best tasting. However, both types of bars have flavors that are very good. So below, I'll tell you my opinion on which are the very best in each category.

Making Medifast Work For You: What This Phrase Really Means To Me

I'm a big proponent of taking the principles of the Medifast diet and tweaking them so that the diet works better for you. Sometimes, I have people ask me if I'm encouraging dieters to cheat or to not follow directions. I like to think that I'm not. My reasoning for encouraging people to make this diet work for them is that I believe that the number one reason that diets fail is because people stop using them or give up. So my whole goal is to make the diet work better while also making sure that it's still effective enough that you'll stick with it. To that end, if adding a little fat free cheese to the chili or adding some diet whipped cream to the shakes inspires you to consume them instead of getting bored, getting discouraged, or stopping the diet altogether, then to me, the end justifies the means. In the following article, I'll try to clarify what I mean (and what I don't mean) when I encourage you to make Medifast work for you.

She felt that something similar might work for her, but she hesitated to spend the money on the diet's food. She wanted to know if it was possible to eat similar foods with items she was able to buy from the grocery store. This is a relatively common question that I had myself. And previously, I did try to accomplish something similar. I will discuss this more in the following article.

I find that people are most concerned about the taste of the Medifast foods and the cost of those same foods.
